Fern started in the mortgage business almost 20 years ago as a Licensed Mortgage Broker.  Since then she has been active in all facets of mortgage origination.  She is also computer savvy, using the latest technology available.  This diversity of experience provides Fern with vast knowledge not usually found with your run of the mill 'loan officer'.   

Fern stays involved with each and every loan application, from start to finish.  Being in control of the transaction ensures the quickest possible turnaround and the most direct feedback to owners, buyers, sellers, realtors, and other parties involved in a mortgage transaction.   

Although Fern brings much expertise to the Mortgage Industry, there is of course more to Fern than mortgages. She was born in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in Birmingham, Alabama.  In 1971, she moved to Central Florida, and has loved it ever since. Fern is married to T. Shepard "Shep" Burr, a CPA.  They have 2 children.  Deborah lives in Tallahassee, and Daniel is living in Brandon, Florida. Fern served for many years on the Board of Directors of Oyster Pointe/Oyster Bay Resorts, a Timeshare Development located in Sebastian, Florida. She is also a Lifetime Member and a Past President of CFRI.
